Sleeping BabyThe first and best advice about your baby sleeping or not sleeping is not to worry too much about it. Your baby will sleep when she's tired. Sometimes babies can be fussy. Almost every baby book recommends giving your baby a warm, safe, dark, and quiet place to sleep. A sleeping baby generally likes the same conditions we like to sleep in when you think about it. Before you putting your baby down to sleep, slow everything down for awhile - talk lower, move slower. In short set the tone. Baby books tell us that your baby will largely learn her sleep patterns from you. You can create the patterns and signs that it is time to sleep. Routine is very important. Soft music can help your baby sleep. Some babies have been known to respond well to riding in a car or rocking motions. There are many tricks to achieving a sleeping baby. But the biggest thing is don't get stressed out about it. If you're stressed out your baby will sense that - and likely will get stressed out too. You know this from your own experiences. It is difficult to sleep when you're stressed. The same applies to your sleeping baby. Your baby will sleep when it is ready you just need to be patient and flexible.
